We All Do It -“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to hand God certain parts of your life, but not others? We’ll say, “Lord, I trust You with my health,” but in the same breath stress over bills. We’ll pray for our children’s safety but silently wrestle with our career choices, trying to figure it all out alone. It’s not that we don’t believe God is able , it’s that sometimes we forget He cares about all of it.

Why We Pick and Choose

If I’m honest, the reason I sometimes withhold certain areas from God is because:

  • I think I can manage it better.
  • I worry His plan might not look like mine.
  • Or deep down, I don’t want to let go of control.

But when I do this, I end up carrying weights God never intended for me to hold.

Those 2 A.M. Reminders

The many nights I’ve awakened at 2 or 3 a.m., I find myself asking, “God, what are You trying to show me? What am I not trusting You with in my life that I need wisdom for?” And like clockwork, He reveals the very areas I’ve been holding back. It’s humbling — but it’s also freeing. Because even in the quiet hours of the night, God gently reminds me: “Give Me everything. I can handle it.”

God Wants It All

Trusting God is not a “some of the time, some of the things” type of deal. His invitation is to bring Him everything , the pieces we’re proud of and the ones we’d rather hide. The truth is, He’s big enough to handle the burdens and tender enough to care about the details. When we only trust Him halfway, we only experience half the peace He promises.

Pause & Ponder

  • What’s one area of your life you keep tucked away from God’s hands?
  • What would it tak to surrender it today?
  • Can you believe that the God who gave you breath this morning can also guide your next step?

Prayer Lord, I confess that I’ve trusted You in some areas but clung tightly to others. Today I release it all , my fears, my plans, my   relationships, and my future. Teach me that nothing is too small or too complicated for You. Help me walk in the freedom that comes from full surrender. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Trusting God with everything isn’t losing control ,it’s gaining peace.
